We store your email address to send you one daily digest. That's the whole business. Unsubscribe anytime and it's deleted. No cookies, no ad tech, and your address is never sold or shared for marketing — just cookieless, aggregated page-view counts. Everything published on this site is public record.
We collect your email when you subscribe — nothing else. No account, no name, no payment details. If you write to us through the contact form, we also receive that message and the address you send it from, used only to reply — never added to any list. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (IP address, request time) for security and operations.
Your address is used to send the daily disclosure digest you signed up for, and — rarely — service notes about Capitol Ledger itself. It is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing.
Addresses are stored by Buttondown, the service that sends the digest, under its data-processing agreement — never in this site's public code repository. Subscribing uses double opt-in: you'll get a confirmation email, and nothing is sent until you click it. Unsubscribing removes your address from the list.
Subscribing is consent, and every email carries an unsubscribe link that withdraws it. Under the GDPR and similar laws you can also ask what we hold about you (your email address), correct it, or have it deleted — reply to any Capitol Ledger email and a human will handle it.
This site sets no cookies and runs no ad pixels or cross-site trackers. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics — cookieless and aggregated; it doesn't identify or follow you. Fonts are self-hosted. If any of this changes, this page will say so before it does.
The trades shown on this site concern members of Congress and are taken from disclosures they are required by the STOCK Act to make public. We republish those official records in the public interest, unaltered in substance.
Capitol Ledger publishes public records in readable form, for information only. We add no recommendations and no predictions. Decisions you make from public information — including anything you read here — are yours alone.
We reproduce what the official filings say, including their delays and their brackets. Filings can contain errors and amendments, and parsing can too; for anything that matters, verify against the original document on the House or Senate portal. The service is provided "as is", without warranty.
You're welcome to cite and share what you find here with attribution. Don't republish it as if it were exact figures (disclosures are ranges), and don't present it as our endorsement of any trade, member, or strategy.
Free while in beta. If the service or these terms change in any way that matters — pricing, providers, what we collect — subscribers hear about it in the digest and this page is updated, with the date stamp above.
